Nursery & Children's Church

"The commandments I give you today must be in your hearts. Make sure your children learn them. Talk about them when you are at home. Talk about them when you walk along the road. Speak about them when you go to bed. And speak about them when you get up." Deuteronomy 6:6,7 (NIrV®)

YEAR ROUND

During our Worship Service there is child care available downstairs in the Nursery room. Infants and children  (ages birth through kindergarten) may be checked in at 9:50 AM  or anytime throughout the service as they are  welcome to stay for the singing and then be  brought down by their parents and signed in. Please do not hesitate to ask an usher or greeter for directions to these areas.

NURSERY

Jesus took a little child and had the child stand among them. Then he took the child in his arms. He said to them, "Anyone who welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me.  And anyone who welcomes me also welcomes the one who sent me."  Mark 9:36-37 (NIrV®)

The Nursery Ministry at Grace Church seeks to show the love of Jesus to children (infants through kindergarten age) through Christ-like care.  Our CORI screened nursery workers provide a safe, secure, nurturing environment for children while leading a time of worship and teaching about the goodness of our God. There is a check in/check out procedure in place for each child and a silent usher system to notify parents if they are needed during the service.

CHILDREN'S CHURCH

Each Sunday directly after Worship in singing, children grades K-6 are dismissed to meet for Children's Church.  Children will exit by the door next to the pulpit.  The class is held in the upstairs Conference Room next to the church offices.  Our Children's Church curriculum is by Child Evanglism Fellowship.

On March 5th, we began the teaching series,  "God's Power: Escape from Egypt". This series gives children a "big picture" look at what God was doing through Moses and how that fits into the greater redemption story. Lessons cover Moses' birth through the giving of the Ten Commandments.

Children will be brought back down to sanctuary during the final worship song and will remain in the front row with their teacher. Families are asked to pick up their children directly after the sevice.
